Tasmanian Divers Group was established in 1976 by Graham Bligh and Murray Conlan as a Hobart-based diving business engaged in both the recreational and commercial diving sectors. The company, then known as Southern Tasmanian Divers, has gone through significant expansion and growth over the subsequent decades. It is now the premiere diving company in Tasmania with facilities across the state.

 

In 2007 Southern Tasmanian Divers was purchased by private equity investors.

 

In 2011 the business was incorporated and commenced operations interstate.

 

In 2019 the business acquired retail and training operations in Launceston.

 

In 2020 the business set up commercial diving operations in Launceston. 2020 also saw the acquisition of Diving and Marine Services (DAMS) into the business operations as expansion continued in the North of the state.

 

Tasmanian Divers Group now employs over 40 staff across 4 locations with backgrounds in business and project management, compliance, OH&S, marine and environmental science, engineering, marine electronics, qualified mechanics, builders, and fitters, every one of them a diver.

 

The company is ISO 9001 accredited and operates to ISO 45001 Health and Safety Standards. Tasmanian Divers Group is JAS-ANZ accredited and DNV & Lloyd's Register accredited, demonstrating our commitment to industry standards and safety.
