Old Bridgewater Bridge Demolition
Tasmanian Divers Group was engaged by the Hazell Brady Joint Venture to deliver underwater construction support for the demolition of the existing Bridgewater Bridge, completing subsea works associated with the removal of the bridge caissons and surrounding marine infrastructure.
The scope included underwater core drilling, installation of lifting hardware, wire saw cutting and preparation of reinforced concrete caissons for controlled removal. Works also included underwater inspections, rigging, verification of demolition stages and support to the broader construction program.
The project required the use of hydraulic drilling and cutting equipment, engineered heavy lifting methods and experienced commercial dive teams operating within a live marine construction environment.
This project highlights TDG's capability to deliver underwater construction and demolition services safely and efficiently on major infrastructure projects.
